What are you guys favorite ninja characters in JRPGs?

I don’t mean a recommendation type post to be honest as basically I was just looking to have a fun discussion on the obligatory ninja teammate trope found in JRPGs.

Like after taking a break from JRPGs recently, I decided to try a stealth game called Splinter Cell as while the game is obviously a very completely different genre of gaming compared to RPGs, it got me interested in seeing how common the aforementioned ninja trope was in JRPGs.

I don’t know how a JRPG centered around a ninja type protagonist would work since ninjas are supposed to be stealthy as the thing is that I couldn’t help but picture how such a game would work in gameplay mechanics with the combat system because I would love to see a JRPG centered around a shinobi like protagonist.
