Parking tips for Level Up X Zingara at The Showbox (Seattle 02/14)

hey everyone, figured i would share some thoughts on the parking situation for the level up and zingara show on 02/14. since it is valentine's day downtown seattle is going to be an absolute mess especially around the market. the showbox is right in the thick of it so you really need a plan unless you want to spend forty minutes circling blocks.

honestly you should check out Prked first. you can basically rent someone's private driveway or a garage spot right by the venue through the app. it is way cheaper than the public lots and you get to skip the nightmare of exiting a crowded garage after the show. plus the walk is super short and you do not have to deal with the typical pike place gridlock.

if you do not use Prked you could try the pike place market garage on western ave but it fills up fast on holidays and weekends. there is also a lot at 2nd and union that is pretty close but they usually hike up the prices for events. street parking is technically free after 8 pm on saturdays in most of that area but since it is 02/14 every spot will probably be taken by people out for dinner long before the doors open at 9 pm. do not even bother looking on 1st ave because it is always packed and the traffic moves at a crawl.

another option is the garage under target on 2nd but they have weird hours sometimes so check that they stay open late enough for the show to end. avoid the tiny surface lots if you can because they are famous for being overpriced and having really tight spots where people ding your doors. if you are coming from the north maybe try parking a bit further up near belltown and walking down to avoid the worst of the traffic on 1st. just make sure you give yourself an extra thirty minutes because the construction and valentine's crowds are going to make everything take forever. hope this helps you guys have a blast at the show.
