Upgrading my PC from worse to not-so worse. Need help if everything is correct or I am missing something.
Hi. This would be my first ever post on a subreddit. Not really used to writing those.
I am new to PC building, I know my way around but I just don't have the experience. So, I am planning to upgrade my setup a little, but I want to be secure that everything fits. So I'll just list out what I have right now and then what I will buy that will be replaced.
It's just that I did the research with the help of AI and I don't really want to trust it and I would prefer opinions on this one, not neverending agreement.
So we'll start with my present specs:
• CPU: Intel Xeon E5-2620 v2
• CPU Cooler: Unidentifiable Aerocool Unit.
• MBD: Atermiter X79 v1.3 (if needed I'll provide the photo)
• GPU: Asus TUF Gaming Nvidia GTX 1650 4GB VRAM
• RAM: 4x4 Samsung DDR3 (RDIMM) 1600 MHz
• PSU: Aerocool VX 500 Plus
• Memory: 1x Kingston SATA SSD 480GB
1x Crucial X8 External USB SSD 1TB
1x Seagate Portable HDD 5600 RPM 2TB
Hopefully didn't miss anything. And for now I am planning to change up the CPU and RAM to those:
CPU: Intel Xeon E5-2667 v2
RAM: 4x8GB Apple DDR3 (RDIMM) 1866 MHz
Will this work for me or is there better options?
