Classic Dropships are back alongside Drop Zones. This is a huge win! I think this change will somewhat lessen the painpoints of both subset of players that are for and against drop ships.

Just saw the official Ranked update for Season 28. They are combining Dropships with Drop Zones in Ranked matches. In high skill lobbies (Diamond plus) you will see Drop Zones more often, but in Platinum and mixed lobbies, you could see both Dropships and Drop Zones.

The playlist UI will say “RANKED DROP ZONES” and Respawn will share the threshold percentages when the season goes live. Launch is expected next week.
