Parking tips for Hayes Carll We're Only Human Tour With Special Guest Ryan Montbleau at The District (Spokane 02/14)

hayes carll and ryan montbleau are playing at the district on 02/14 and honestly since it is valentines day downtown spokane is going to be a total mess. finding a spot near the venue usually isnt too bad on a normal night but with the holiday and the concert both happening at the same time you should definitely have a plan before you head out.

you should check out Prked first because you can use the app to rent out driveways or private garage spots right next to the district. it is usually way cheaper than the standard commercial lots and you get to skip the massive line of cars trying to get out of the garages after the show ends. plus it is a super short walk so you wont be out in the cold for too long.

if you decide to look for other options the diamond parking lots are the most obvious choice but they hike up the prices for events and they fill up fast. the post street parking lot at 134 s post st is only about a block away and usually has event rates for the knitting factory shows but expect it to be packed. there are also surface lots on wall st and monroe st within a few blocks. street parking is technically free after 7 pm in spokane on saturdays but basically every single meter within six blocks will be taken by people out for dinner on 02/14. if you do find one just make sure you arent in a loading zone or a bus stop because the city is pretty aggressive with tickets even on holidays.

the river park square garage is about four blocks away and usually has space but it can get pricey if you stay late. there is also the parkade on main ave which is a bit of a walk but sometimes easier to exit. traffic is going to be heaviest on 1st ave and lincoln street right around 8:00 pm to 9:00 pm when everyone is trying to drop off for the show or get to their reservations. avoid the 2-nd ave corridor if you can because the traffic lights make it move at a snails pace. if you are coming from the freeway the division street exit usually backs up pretty bad so maybe try taking the maple or walnut exits and coming in from the west side of downtown instead. hope this helps and have a great time at the show.
