To anyone struggling on Valentine's Day
Valentine's Day can be a struggle when you're trying to heal. If today hurts, that doesn't mean you're weak. It means you loved - and a lot of us loved hard. And loving deeply is not something to be ashamed of.
You are not behind in life because you're single. Something I need to always remind myself of. You are not unworthy because someone couldn't meet you halfway. And you are not "too much" for wanting affection, love, and consistency.
Some people are celebrating relationships today. Some of us are learning how to choose ourselves instead. Both are valid.
If you're grieving someone who couldn't love you properly - I see you. Stay no contact. Don't text them. Don't reopen a wound just because the day feels heavy.
You deserve a love that doesn't make you anxious. And if it's quiet today, like it is for me - let it be peaceful, not lonely.
Sending love ❤️❤️❤️❤️
