"change accounts" doesnt work at all PLEASE HELP

had the problem for a long time now where i select "change account" and it just closes and reopens steam on the same account im already on not giving the option to choose between my other steam accounts

i CAN sign out of the accoutn and sign into others but i switch accounts a lot and its tedious to put in all the details and get the email code every time when i remember i used to be able to just choose which account i wanted to use.

ive tried all the basics such as: signed out multiple times and when i signed back in i tried checking the "keep me signed in button" and ive tried it without checking it.

i know theres two buttons to change account/sign out, one top left(where it says steam) and one top right (where it says my name) ive tried all of them multiple times.

ive tried signing in and out on the website no dice

ive tried checking the "remember my account details" when signing back in, didnt do anything

ive tried signing back in without checking it multiple times aswell and nothing happened from that aswell.
