HELP IN CHEATING

So I am studying to get a diploma in a institute. and I was sitting in my friend circle once. and one of them, let's call her Lily, asked Rose(another fake name) that why didn't she helped her to cheat for the test. Rose just casually replied that she wanted to complete her test first. I suddenly intervened and asked that why will she help you for a test?

she answered saying , "it's obvious as we are friends." .

I felt werid and replied that , "I know about being friends and all but in the end we are competing against eachother for better scores. so it's natural for her to not show. "

the others looked at me qs if I am an alien.

I again said, " no matter what , we all are in a competition. we are friends but you shouldn't forget that I also want to be better than you all. as in getting the best score."

I said that because it was too obvious that in the end it's just us fighting for the best .

And I was framed as 'mean' again.
