DXP2800 not detecting Reletech P400 NVMe

⚙️ Hardware

Hey all,

I’m running a UGREEN DXP2800 NAS and trying to install a Reletech P400 1TB NVMe (PCIe Gen4 x4).

Issue: The drive is not detected at all in either of the two M.2 slots inside the NAS.

What I’ve tried: • Installed the NVMe in both M.2 slots (reseated multiple times). • Confirmed the drive works — when I put it into a USB NVMe enclosure, it shows up immediately and works fine. • Power cycled the NAS fully.

So the NVME itself seems fine. But the DXP2800 just doesn’t see it internally.

A few extra details: • I don’t have a physical keyboard attached — I’m using a GL.iNet KVM. • I’m not sure how to properly access the BIOS on this box to check PCIe detection. • Not sure whether the M.2 slots support full NVMe Gen4 or if there are compatibility quirks.

Questions: 1. Does the DXP2800 have any NVMe compatibility limitations (controller whitelist, Gen3-only, specific brands)? 2. Could this be a PCIe lane or BIOS setting issue? 3. Any trick to enter BIOS without a direct USB keyboard? 4. Has anyone successfully used this specific NVMe in the DXP2800?

Appreciate any ideas before I assume the NAS M.2 slots are faulty.
