RGCubeXX won't turn on
I'll try to explain in the most detailed way I can about this problem I've had yesterday.
I'm using knulli on a microSD card I bought. I have the dual setup. But I still have the original kioxia microSD card around, it's unchanged just in case.
I was playing SNES' super Mario kart and locked it pressing the power button once. I was in a dentist appointment and I handed the device to my nurse to check it out. After like a minute she tried to unlock it but it never turned on again. I'm sure it was charged. What I'm not sure is if she did something else and lied about it but that's not so likely. She said she just pressed the power button and didn't turn on, then she asked me what the other (reset) button did but I don't think she pressed it down. (I wasn't actually seeing what she was doing with it because I was at the dentist)
Anyways, I have tried different things:
I tried different chargers: I don't have the specific 1.5A Anbernic suggests but I've been charging with a 1.0A with no issues during the 3 months I've had the cubexx. it only showed the orange led light. I tried a 2.0A with the same result. I tried a modern phone's 3.0A just to check its response and got no light.
I also tried different microSD cards (both when charging and turning on): I tried with the one I've been playing using Knulli. then I went back to the kioxia one. then I tried flashing Knulli in a third microsd card that I was using on my phone. I got the same orange led result, only when charging.
I checked the microsd cards on my laptop, I'm no expert, but they seemed fine. They worked as usual. Before trying the third microsd card I checked it worked fine on my phone too.
I let the device alone for almost a day.
Now I'm trying to open it to check if the battery got disconnected or something, but I can't. I unscrewed 5 of the 6 little screws. But the last one seems glued or something because it won't come out. I tried for like an hour with several different screwdrivers but nothing worked. I just gave up.
Now I'd like to know if there are different alternatives I could try from the software side of things. Has it happened to one of you? what does the orange light mean? Does it mean the battery is properly connected?
I tried finding this problem on the community but didn't find one, if you know of a similar case please send me the thread.
it's my first device and I have less than 3 months with it.
The device has never been hit. However, something weird happened a few weeks ago. When I tried playing Pico8 it started to work badly. For example, the games wouldn't open and the device got blocked and I had to turn it off and on again. and everytime I tried a pico8 game the same happened to the point I stopped trying to play Pico8. As I was regularly playing SNES anyway, I never tried fixing it before. Maybe that says something about the problem now.
