guys i need help how to fix valentines 😭

So, my bf and I work together, we met through work like a year ago? We've been dating 4 months btw. And he was working this valentines, and I wasn't. So we were gonna see each other Friday and I'd pop in to see him on Saturday on the day just a bit.

I asked him if he wanted to properly do anything and he was like nah, which kinda made me sad but neither of our parents celebrate the holiday so it makes sense. Anyway I got him some flowers but he reacted super weird like he was really surprised and kinda ruined the gift. We did get over it but it kinda made that day awkward.

Anyway yesterday I popped in to work but the issue is I can't really talk to him much while he's working, because when we do work together for a period of time we just acted normal and every coworker I have would confront me and have little "interventions" about how they felt about us, and 1 of my coworkers was suddenly convinced I wasn't doing any work (even though he only found out after we'd been dating a while and hadn't noticed anything before he knew).

And he doesn't cop anything cause he's a man and it's always my responsibility, me that's blamed, so he gets really hurt that I don't want to spend too much time talking to him or I'll tell him to go get to work, because he doesn't understand what the consequences are for me, even when I try to explain it.

But he got really hurt by this and he's just making bitter remarks about it. Like, I'm going to go see my friend at work just pop in and I'm gonna talk to her and it's completely different since we're not dating nobody will bat an eye but he was soo salty about it.

Genuinely I feel like there's nothing I can do, can anyone help 🥺
