AIO about a classmates behavior during an exam situation?
Hi everyone, I’m a high school student doing dual enrollment, and I’m trying to figure out if I’m reading too much into something that happened with a classmate. A few of us in the class who are also in the same high school and same AP Seminar course are also doing AP TMP presentations this week, so we’ve been overwhelmed with deadlines. One girl (who at times has behaved in a passive-aggressive manner) in my class emailed our anthropology professor first saying we might need flexibility for an upcoming exam because of our AP obligations. She later told the rest of us that the professor replied saying we could take the exam at a different time and not to worry. Because of that, several of us followed up with emails asking about alternate timing. Today, the morning of the exam, the professor was clearly frustrated by the number of emails and spoke to us in a angry manner and told us that we would need to take a harder alternate version later.
What confused me is that the girl who originally brought up the flexibility and encouraged us to take that option… stayed seated and took the exam that day anyway, while the rest of us were told to leave. Afterward, she was casually hanging out with other students like nothing happened. Not sure how I feel about this since I’m very socially anxious and still unfamiliar with the professor and fellow colleagues, and for that to be everyone’s impression of me is still on my mind. I’m not upset that she took the exam because she’s allowed to change her mind, but it feels odd that she initiated the whole thing, let everyone else act on it, and then protected herself while the rest of us looked irresponsible.
Am I overreacting for feeling like that was kind of unreliable or unfair? Or is this just normal miscommunication
