Have these reacurring dreams of being shot that wake me up

It either is the last thing i see in the dream or in the middle of it and it sticks to me for a week or 2 like once i was just carrying bags for my mom at night i opened the door and i just see muzzle flashes approaching from my living room that has the light turned and loud bangs from an actual pistol and last thing i remember experiencing actual fear for the first time in my life as the supposed gunman that is standing infront of me just shoots me one more time before i woke.Another time i remember being shot in my room by a somebody i felt like theyre were close. What could this mean
