AITAH for wanting to go no contact with my MAGA racist MIL…

Basically exactly what the title says. My MIL and her husband are right-wing Fox News junkies. They support Trump and make fun of my husband (their son) and my SIL for having different political opinions (believing in human rights). Today my husband went to his brothers house to watch a basketball game and their mother was there. I did not go because our child was napping at home. During the game my MIL went on a tangent about one of the players (a black man) hair and how “ridiculous” it was. Like minutes long about how crazy, and she can’t believe he’d leave the house let alone be on TV with his hair like that (in braids in a ponytail).

My husband shot back (more gently than I would have) about how she’s a 60 year old white woman who doesn’t know what kind of hair is cool and why does she care about his hair anyway? She got defensive and said, “god you’re becoming as woke as your sister.” 🙃

When my husband got home and told me all this I was so pissed. I obviously don’t like her for a lot of reasons but her disgusting political affiliation and brainwashed postion is a big piece. I don’t want my son growing up around a grandmother who openly and often favors the male children more than the women, makes jokes about how women are crazy, and doesn’t support LGBTQ+ rights. I’ve been actively distancing from her and I’ve told my husband I don’t want her around our son. His belief is that she’s still a “good grandma” even though she’s absolutely insufferable and (in my opinion) just stupid. Am I overreacting?
