Do guys have a hard time saying no?

I was asking a guy for some help if he was willing to give. He wouldnt say yes— I took that as him wanting to be polite without outright saying no. (I am autistic and I am VERY DIRECT and I unfortunately over-explain a lot) I sent him a long text saying that he didnt want to, that I would be totally fine with him saying no and that I respect him and his decision and mentioning that I am autistic so I dont pick up on subtle hints and that I need to be directly told things.

He told me that he would do it and until I got what I needed, to not contact him.

I feel really bad but I also need help to understand; is he mad because I over-explained? Cause I mentioned autism? Or because I kept pressing him to be honest and tell me ‘no?’
