Will I get dropped?
Hi everyone, please be brutally honest with me; I don’t want to have false hope and I’m trying to manage my expectations for rushing.
I’m a nineteen year old girl who wants to rush this upcoming fall. I attended a college out of state for one and a half years, and during that time, I went through some terrible months battling mental illness. It got to the point where during one semester, I was too weak to attend even one class, and I ended up with a 1.9 cumulative gpa for the time I was there.
I dropped out this spring. Since then I’m working on going to a community college for this spring and this summer before I transfer to an SEC school with a really competitive rush.
I’m doing a lot better now, and I’m confident that over the next two semesters my grades should end up being a high 3.0, maybe even a 4.0 at this community college. However, I know they are going to look back at my first school and see my poor grades. I’ve always wanted to rush and I’m really worried I lost my chance when my mental health went downhill.
Please let me know what you think about this situation, and if there is any way to explain such a terrible time of grades to these sororities, thank you.
