Life advice - work & marriage
Hi, welcome to my throwaway account i know a few people who frequent in here and i don't want to alarm them.
So, i'm 31m i'm due to get married soon and trust me i'm nervous as all hell i'm not fussed about everything going "perfect" i know there will be little hiccups but that is why we have the people we pick as bridesmaid and groomsman to help assist with the surprises. I'm more nervous about the whole thing as it's honestly a big step. She is great, she understands and i have had this chat with her and it's always well recieved. I just never had any male role models to reach out to when things got rough since my old man passed away when i was young.
Anyways, that's the wedding part now the work part.
Where i was working recently went through some changes, atleast 8 employees were dropped due to company financial issues so they had to lower their overheads. Granted i was basically gifted another job somewhere else to earn an income whilst i figured out my next move.
My whole thing right now is and i apologise for the swear words but it's "What the fuck do i do now? I have a wedding to pay for, i have bills to pay and i can't afford to be left behind nor can i afford to sit in idle for too long" i have a shit tonne of ambition and motivation to do maybe start my own business or even upskill myself and be a proven and reliable employee but there is always that fear of "What if"
Good times.
TL;DR: Wedding good juju, but anxiety sucks. Work restructure left me questioning life and where i stand in life as a whole.
