AITAH for not wanting to talk to my mom everyday?
I live with my mom while preparing to apply to grad school. Usually my mom will call me to wherever she is in the house because she says she wants to talk, but most of the time it is because she wants me to do something for her, like order clothes or accessories. And she’s always calling out my name that I am sick of hearing it, and when I respond back yes, she won’t answer until I physically get up and go to her, so I just ignore her sometimes now. For example, she’s planning her birthday party. So if I stay in my room, she demands me to go to her room bc she says “we” have a lot of things to do. However, it’s her things.
She’ll make me look at a bunch of dresses to see which one she should buy or she’ll make me look for dresses for her, and then I have to order them. She’ll just make me look for things for her party, and one night, this went from like 10 PM and went on to 2 AM bc her sleep schedule is off due to working nights sometimes, and I have to accommodate that. She’ll make me order party favors for her friends, and then cancel the order, and then order it again. It’s annoying tbh. Another thing that’s annoying that’s kinda unrelated, but she’ll wake me up around 5:50 am to 6 am whenever she works days just to put her false lashes on bc she’s so insecure without them and refuses to go to work without them, but also refuses to learn how to put them on herself.
She came from work today. She made me apply for a job for her friend (have done this 3x now), and after I was done I went to my room bc she was talking with her friend. After the friend left, she went upstairs and I asked her how work was. She answered but she was distracted on her phone. I went back to my room. After she took a shower, she was talking out loud in a way where she’s talking about me, but she’s not talking directly to me (she always does this). She was saying how I’m always in my room and never want to talk to her and that I have a problem. Mind you, she was getting into bed and her eyes were literally closing as her head hit the pillow and she fell asleep 5 min later, so why would I be in her room to talk to her? And yes, most times I try to just stay in my room or in a different room than where she is bc she treats me like an assistant. Anyway, AITAH?
