My store got the new register software today… it’s cool but why can’t we do quantity on food items???

So, I like the new register software a lot, checking out is much faster, I like we can see images of everything we scan if there’s a confusing item description like “SITE MERCHANDISE” we know what it is. Also, many items have a plus button to add more than one, wooden chairs, firewood, blenders, toy monster trucks. But I had to manually scan 50 Kool Aid packets that are all the same flavor because there is no plus option on Kool Aid packets? What sense does that make?
