Is it socially acceptable to like romance anime?

Genuinely wondering, I am quite new to anime and all because I was sort of judgmental towards anime fans for a long time but I find myself kinda enjoying myself now that I started. That being said I started to watch mainstream and popular animes but got a bit bored for some reason and tried a romance series which I surprisingly really enjoyed, but now I lowkey feel like im a failure because im in my late teens and im enjoying romance stuff. Being a guy, is it socially acceptable to openly like this type of show or do I just look like a dumbass who cant get a girlfriend.
