Should I wait for the Next - Gen ACA last advanced level paper?
I’m currently a sponsored student and I only have SBM and Case Study left. Under the current syllabus, my original plan was to take SBM in July 2026 and then Case Study in November 2026 (assuming I pass both on the first try… hopefully lol).
But with the Next Gen changes where Advanced Level will be reduced to two papers, I’m wondering if it might make more sense to wait and sit for the last Case Study instead.
Even though I’m sponsored, the cost still matters to me. If I ever decide to leave the firm in the future (before the end of my bond), I’d have to repay everything they’ve sponsored exam fees, tuition fees, and even the cost of study leave and boy do those ADD UP.
So if there’s a chance that I could qualify by taking just one remaining paper instead of two, you can probably see why that would make a big difference financially and practically.
