Minimize rubbing/irritation after shaving?

Hey friends,

I can wear my cage (cherry keeper small) for a day no problem cant even feel its there. After a day (usually i shave > put it on) i start to get pretty irritated chaffing despite creams lotion etc.

Should i use some special shaving cream? Not wear for a few days after? Other removal techniques? Its annoying because thats when i feel the hottest and want to do stuff but then i get that rubbing burning specifically under the balls and on the sides
