ysg worth?

im day 50 of my kd and im planning on running mina/cao and im leveling martel to run martel/sun. i know ysg was meta back then for kvk1, but its been a few years and since i thinkn i can only really run 2 marches as a f2p, is it worth spending lots of gems in the wheel to max it, or just to unlock him. i have 66k gems rn and i want to know how much i should save during more than gems
