Middle child trauma but make it unsettling and deeply layered.

🧠 Strategic yet impulsive- don’t try to make it make sense… she was 17 when she went in. Plus she just drove Debbie to the lake

🔥 Explosive

👑 Power-driven

Carol is one of the most psychologically complex antagonists within Orange Is the New Black, shaped by sibling rivalry, resentment, and a relentless need for control. Raised in a neglectful suburban home, Carol grew up overlooked and emotionally volatile. She’s extremely intelligent but lacks emotional regulation, and her violent impulses ultimately land her in prison with her sister for 30 years. Carol wants unconditional love… she just has absolutely no idea what to do with it.

Carol delivers:

• Intelligence weaponized

• Deep unresolved trauma

• Ruthless ambition

• A desperate desire to feel important and seen

She is the definition of “hurt people hurt people.”
