Starting onions by seed.

Starting onions... cells or broadcast

Fellow gardeners.. its time for me to start my onion seeds!

I have multiple 40cell trays to use but wanted to see what people's opinions were about starting the seeds broadcasting the seeds instead of in organized cells.

my thought process is, when im under my grow lights, I can broadcast a hundred seeds or so, or 40 cells in the dame space.

my grow lights are enough for a 2ft by 4ft space with heat mats.

im about 2 weeks before i start peppers (march 1) and a month before I start my tomatoes (march 15).

once I have peppers and tomatoes under lights, space is a premium for me... so im looking for space efficient solutions.
