Ticket refund explanation

If someone can explain this I'd be grateful.

I purchased tickets for my wife and I at the same time and using the same credit card. The flight got canceled and we were issued a flight credit for each ticket. I applied for a refund for both tickets. Both refunds were approved.

Her refund amount was sent back to the credit card. My refund amount was converted to a trip credit. Why? And thanks.
