Transferring into USAFA?

Hi, I'd like to attend USAFA, but my current high school stats aren’t perfect, so I’m planning to apply again after starting college.

I have a 3.2 unweighted GPA, 3.8 weighted, and a 1380 SAT, and I plan to major in engineering and join AFROTC while in college.

I’m trying to understand what actually matters if I apply from college:

• How admissions weigh high school vs. college performance
• Does joining AFROTC improve my chances?
• Should letters of recommendation come from high school teachers or college professors?
• When should I apply? After freshman year or later?
• What should I focus on to be competitive and a strong candidate?

Any advice would be really helpful — I’m serious about working toward this goal.
