Did trt improve anyone's a1c?

im healthy and fairly lean but my a1c has been creeping over the past 4 years strangely. 5 5 4 years ago now 5.6..1 point away from pre diabetes. my test levels have been same since 4 years ago high 400s with free of about 100..got on trt 8 weeks ago to optimize and see if my a1c normalizes. anyone experience this? what else can I do besides diet and exercise? metformin? reta?
