Should I walkout of my job?
Im a cook in a restaurant and used to be management, i stepped down and transfered stores because our corporate overlords were sending terrible managers to my location and driving me up a wall. Now I'm just a cook and they're overworking, understaffing, and cutting hours back more. I see half the kitchen staff sit on their phones while I work my ass off cleaning and cooking and they get no punishment. I've been heavily debating on just up and leaving in the middle of a shift when I truly deem it "too much anymore" but don't know fully if I should. I can survive my bills for 2 months, have a job lined up that starts on the 1st of next month, and have the ability to doordash anytime I want. I have one manager here I can use as a reference that wouldn't speak ill of me if I were to leave on the spot (we've been doing this together for almost 5 years and he's on the brink himself too). Im just looking for advice
