how do you guys consistently score in the “correct form of the word” grammar passage?
i can do most of grammar fine, but this specific part always messes me up because i get stuck between options like left / was left / had left / had been left, for example. like i understand the basics of tenses, but in these prelim paper passages the wording is so confusing that i start overthinking and then end up choosing the wrong form. is there any proper method or set of rules you guys follow to decide the correct tense/voice quickly? what clues do you usually look for in the passage? would really appreciate any tips or strategies.
