Hike into camp spots in San Diego?

Hello everyone, I was wondering if there were any easy and good hiking trails that I could do a one night camp at? I would like to bring my dog and I'm new to long term hiking so l'd prefer if the trail was easy and dog friendly. I’m also not looking for anything special or super scenic. And is there anything I should bring that not many people would think to bring? Thank you so much!
