One Thousand Eight Hundred And Fortieth Night

I didn't realize that Valentine's day was so soon until it arrived this morning. It really is a holiday that arrived too soon for its own good. It just feels like it should be in late February. The fourteenth is too early, it is somehow already here. And by book still isn't done. We are getting there though. I gave myself a break from writing last night but today I wrote a good 1,070 words for I'm Still Sisyphus. It is a good start to the current scene, though I was hoping I'd have gotten further in my outline. I did have to take a break from writing for a while because I got a nose bleed so maybe I can blame some slowness on that. It wasn't a long bleed but it was annoyingly heavy. It has gotten warmer recently–not warm, mind you, but not incredibly frigid–and as I have already mentioned my body doesn't handle those sorts of shifts easily. I am glade that I seem to have outgrown the chronic migraines at least [knock on wood]. A whole day spent in agony in bed is the last thing I need.

I think I will try to write a little more tonight but I worry that the frequent headaches I have been having will make that difficult. This scene is the last before the big finale. There is still a lot to cover but it is still a hurdle I'd be delighted to be over with. I am struggling right now just trying to write to you. I am late writing to you and late to having my evening coffee because Peach was sleeping on my lap for the last hour. Now that she is up, I am hoping a warm drink will wake me up enough to get some more work done.

Oh, before I go, I'll mentioned that Darling sent me an email. They don't writing much so it was a delight to hear from this in that way. Just as they find writing tiring, I feel the same way about phone calls. It is nice to talk to them in the way I am most comfortable for a change. I wrote back to them right after I finished writing before dinner.

Okay, I really need that coffee. I can barely focus on the screen. Hopefully I get my senses in order soon.

Yours & Mine,

S.O. Skinner
