Is it normal to judge a victim of SA for who they became as a result of the trauma?
My cousin was horrifically ******* by adult men starting at age 12 and was subjected to harassment throughout her teenage years from random men. At 13, she went through a full-blown ****. Now she's 25, she's a narcissistic ***** with black-and-white thinking in some areas and overly vague thinking in others, along with severe anxiety. She knows she's beautiful and uses it. She's hypersexual. At 25, she's planning to marry a man 15 years older; he also has some narcissistic traits but is generally pretty normal, but my cousin puts him through a ton of tests and demands validation. She's also sometimes capable of even justifying other abusers, like she thinks Roman Polanski should be forgiven and that David Bowie isn't a bad person because of his relationship with a 14-year-old, and she listed a bunch of excuses for Bowie. After that conversation, I felt uneasy; she went through something similar herself, yet she says things like that. Even though she herself was in a very bad place at that time. Even as a little girl, she was a narcissistic child and a very spoiled daddy's girl, according to stories from older family members.
