Bored rescue

Behavioral

I know this is long but I'm desperate. My approximately 1 1/2 year old snowshoe siamese came from a traumatic background. All I know is he was thrown from a car in front of the cat rescue, suffering from herpes rinitis and had a hernia at that time. He had not been altered. The rescue nursed him back to health abd after 3 months he was ready for adoption. Despite this sad background, he is mostly very affectionate and I adore him. However, after 5 months i can tell he is bored, wants to go outside, doesn't like toys except feather wand for 10 min or do. attacks my face and head at night to the point I have to put him out of the bedroom. Laser, cat dancer, motorized, balls, mice, birds and many other toys have been tried to no avail. He also doesnt like catnip, churus or treats. He always wants to eat his regular wet food, asking repeatedly, probably related to the boredom. He hated a harness I tried hoping to safely take him outside. Im looking at catios but right now that may be coat prohibitive. I feel like im failing him and he deserves to be happy. Any suggestions are welcome. Oh he sees the vet nearly every month as the rinitis has yet to be successful treated. Appreciate your wisdom.
