Twice I’ve made earnest wishes …

…and they’ve come true, which I regret. Be careful what you wish for, old advice, but without a doubt true. I even knew this, I just didn’t fully consider what I was hoping for. If I’d known what I was wishing for would feel like this, I’d never have wanted it. Now, I don’t carelessly make such appeals. I just hope the things that’ve come true, revert. They will, but it’s taking so much work. I guess I’ll appreciate the things I wished away once they’ve fully returned. Follies of youth and earnest cries out to God.
