Sanity check
I'm a disabled veteran considering UIUC iMBA or BU's OMBA programs.
I understand these programs aren't going to set me up for killer jobs in the private sector. My goal is simply to get my foot in the door in a solid state/local/federal job. My thinking is that the combination of a Master's and veterans preference will get me *something*, and I can build from there.
Assuming I do good work in the .gov, maybe an MBA opens up a few more opportunities in the private sector down the line than a Master's in Public Administration would.
Does this all make sense, or am I way off base?
