Stay or Go

Hello I’m a single parent with my 4 year old however I’m next on the waiting list for a 2 bedroom my rent right now is 208 for a studio and income is 884 from CalWorks but I don’t work I get a doctors signature to not work and I applied for SSI but it’s under reconsideration so I’m waiting for that but the 2 bedroom apartment rent is 497 and the down payment 497 to move in as well to hold the apartment down so I haven’t saved money yet so it’s complicated so should I just stay where I am at I just hate where I live it’s ghetto and the 2 bedroom would benefit would have more room for me and my son but I feel like if I move over there I can loose my place but in a way that I won’t pay rent which I will but in a way that I can loose my benefits or something happens idk should I just stay where I am at or go when I’m next on the list best bet is I win my SSI and get called for the apartment Lol but yeah
