Big Muff not fuzzy

So I made a black russian big muff clone but the pedal doesnt really sound fuzzy, it I can adjust the pots and get it to sound quieter or more darker but i dont really get a fuzz sound. I used BC547 transistors, I did not have a 1.5m resistor so I used a 1m instead and my pots atm are all 100kb. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
