wdym he starts a fire so he can die to it and possess whoever he wants instead of the one who kills him, then as a hunter he obviously targets the single cat I don't want to die (since it has the quest item) and uses his 11 mana to cast a 4 mana spell 4 times, proceeding to not only hit it all 4 times with a 70% miss chance, but also crit 3 of them. It really isn't a shame to not make a boss unfun
