“Mommy, why are you the only one who didn’t get anything?”

“Mommy, why were you the only one who didn’t get anything?” Those were the words out of my 6 year old son’s mouth this morning when everyone woke up to some little special Valentine’s Day things from me. My husband didn’t get me anything. I hate that that’s the example my kids are being shown. I’m tired of always being forgotten about. I know it’s a silly little holiday but it sucks always doing it for the kids and him and not receiving. My 6 year old was so sad for me. Breaks my heart that he notices such a thing at such a young age.
