New to archery but question

Compound

So I’m new to this whole archery thing, I’ve been to a couple of the pro shops and one I’m favoring has been in business for 40 years and they have a package deal for a Matthew’s mission plus their superior customer service like getting a loaner bow for emergencies and warranty since they’re a dealer. I’m considering it but it’s also 865$ and then there’s buying second hand which is cheaper and probably could get an older flagship bow but no warranty and self teaching and YouTube. Is it just smarter to go with the shop or is there another option I haven’t seen?
