Advice for starting a talking stage?

there is this girl, very pretty imo. I am friends/acquantances and have anecdotal conversations every so often. I really like her and it freaks me out to try and start talking to her. I can’t come up with any good ways to do this. she is in one of my classes and I see her on campus semi-frequently and already have her snap. the problem is I am very shy and have trouble talking to her. anyone have any tips for initiating?
