Hello all! We are a relatively small team that is working on producing the Hoi4 Mod "Heart of Sordland," which seeks to transport the world of the game Suzerain into Hearts of Iron 4, with both established lore and one made by ourselves. Suzerain is a text-based, narrative-driven political simulator that places you in the shoes of a world leader in a fictional cold war setting, allowing you to make choices that influence your nation and bring it to glory (or ruin). For years, Suzerain has been widely beloved among the political sim space for its vast breadth of indepth lore, superb writing, and simple yet elegant mechanics, and as fans of the game, we seek to do our utmost to cherish it. This is perhaps why we started the "Heart of Sordland" project, and, despite various ups and downs and work on the mod nearly being abandoned, we are steadily continuing our work and expect to have a demo released this year. Heart of Sordland is the perfect mod for the type of player who enjoys alternate history, custom maps, and lore-based gaming in their Hearts of Iron 4 mods.

However, our progress is slow. We are presently faced with a shortage of capable people, and while our team does its utmost, there is only so much our small group of people (a majority of whom are more capable at lore-making and writing than coding) can do in any given period of time. As such, we are looking for new people to add to our team. This especially goes for coders, specifically those who can engage with map modding, who aren't averse to managing the military meta, who can effectively code and balance effects, and who can effectively code in factions and coalitions. At the same time, we are in sore need of GFX artists, specifically those who are able to make original (albeit stylistically consistent) icons, who can effectively work with the UI, and who can assist us in illustrating events through digital drawing rather than simply photographs. It is in our view that with only a handful of additional people in these two fields, we could really take the mod to the next level and provide the Suzerain and Hoi4 communities with something enjoyable to play. We have included some examples of our work in this post.
