It's fucking insane that we labeled Fentanyl as a crisis
76,000 people died from fentanyl last year, 174,000 died from alcohol during the same time period.
in addition to this 10% of all US citizens 12 and up were diagnosed with alcohol use disorder, 40% of all violent crime was done while under the effects of alcohol and when you zoom into some specific crimes like domestic it shoots all the way up to 2/3. Yes I'm aware that if they did it while under the effects of alcohol they had it in them to begin with. But if they could hold back and never would have done it without drinking this shit then they never would have done it.
Is this seriously how our society is? You're telling me that a crisis is when something is starting to get close to the destruction of what is normal to us? This is how we are?
Yes I'm fucking emotional about this shit. Growing up being scared shitless being in a car driven by a drunk person, being screamed at until 3 in the morning, watching your loved ones go homeless, watching your loved ones die all because of this shit does shit to you.
I wish alcohol didn't fucking exist.
Type gummy if you read the whole thing. I'm not responding to anyone who doesn't, in good faith atleast. Tired of arguing with people who have no idea what I actually said.
