The exact prompts I use to write copy 5x faster without it sounding like AI garbage

Sharing Advice, Tips, and Tricks

I know what you're thinking. "AI copy sucks." And yeah, if you just type "write me a sales page" you'll get garbage that sounds like it was written by a robot having a stroke.

But here's the thing. I don't use ChatGPT to write final copy. I use it to get me 70% there in 10 minutes instead of staring at a blank page for an hour.

Here are the frameworks I prompt with and how I actually use them day to day.

PAS (Problem Agitate Solve)

I type: "Write copy using the PAS formula for [my product/service]. Identify the problem, agitate the pain, then present the solution."

The output is never perfect but it nails the structure. I rewrite it in my voice and I've got a solid first draft in minutes.

AIDA (Attention Interest Desire Action)

Same thing. I tell it the framework, my product, my audience, and let it structure the flow. Then I make it sound human.

Before-After-Bridge

This one's my favorite for transformation products. Show the before state, paint the after picture, bridge the gap with your offer. ChatGPT is actually pretty good at this one if you give it enough context about your customer.

The game changer though is the Features to Benefits converter.

I paste a list of product features and say: "Convert these features into compelling benefits. For each one answer: So what? and What does this mean for the customer?"

This saves me so much time. Instead of sitting there trying to translate tech specs into emotional benefits, I get a solid starting point in seconds.

For headlines I ask for 10 variations across different styles how-to, listicle, question-based, benefit-driven, curiosity-driven, urgency-based. Then I pick the best 2-3 and refine them.

Other stuff that works well:

Asking it to write 10 CTA variations (direct, benefit-focused, low-commitment, urgency-driven)

Having it create a customer avatar before writing anything

Feeding it example copy I like and saying "write in this style"

Asking it to rewrite my copy "but make it more conversational" or "more urgent" or "shorter"

What I never do:

Copy paste AI output straight to a client

Let it write without giving it my brand voice guidelines

Use it for final creative decisions

Skip the editing step

The way I see it, ChatGPT is like having a junior copywriter who works instantly and never complains. The output needs editing but the speed gain is real.

I've been collecting prompts specifically for copywriting for a while now and have built up quite a library. It's honestly changed my workflow completely.

What's your experience been? Anyone else found good ways to use AI in their copy process without it sounding like robot vomit?
