A person who was a shadow? A ghost, maybe, I don't know.

Hi, I was listening to a channel of anecdotes with my wife, and it was about something that I ended up remembering that happened to me years ago. I was about 11 or 12 years old, and my mom and I moved to a house that was at the back of another house. Everything seemed normal; you entered the house and there was the living room, to the right were the doors to the bedrooms, the bathroom to the left, and then the hallway where you could see the kitchen. It all started with that feeling of fear or oppression; One day my mother forgot something and asked me to go back and get it. I told her no (when she said that, I felt a wave of fear wash over me). I went back, and when I opened the door and looked at the end of the hallway (the kitchen), I saw a man, but he was like a very dark shadow. He was leaning against the balcony (he was in the middle of the end of the hallway). When I saw that, I was terrified. I don't know how to explain it because, I mean, he didn't really have a face since he was all black. He was kind of tilted his head, looking at the counter, and when I saw him, he looked at me (he turned his head). I quickly grabbed what my mother had asked for and ran out. I told her what I saw, but she always said, "You're always imagining things."

From then on, it became more frequent, always like that, that feeling of oppression or fear. He would walk around the kitchen, appear in the hallway, or I would see him out of the corner of my eye as he walked by.

One day I went to a neighbor's birthday party. While playing and running around, I got dirty, and my mother told me to go change my clothes. I didn't want to go back alone, so I asked my neighbor and her cousin to come with me. They came (I thought if I was with someone else, it wouldn't happen). We were chatting rather loudly, and I told them to lower their voices because the owner of the house was an elderly lady who was bothered by any noise and might appear asking for silence. Suddenly, that feeling of fear returned, and I saw something "jump" from the balcony. I saw it out of the corner of my eye, and I started screaming. The girls noticed and asked what was wrong. I told them nothing was wrong, that it was better if we left.

We were about to leave when the door suddenly swung all the way open (it's worth noting that the door was old wood and always got stuck on the floor; it even had marks on the tiles). We all looked at each other, terrified, and heard a "shhh" as if someone were at the door, but there was no one. We ran out, screaming and crying. We couldn't open the gate, so we ended up jumping over it. Actually, we fell from sheer desperation. We ran and told my mother and other adults, but obviously they didn't believe us. We lived in that house for a while longer. When I had to stay home alone, I spent time in the yard so I wasn't inside the house for too long.

I never found out what or who it was.

P.S.: When I saw it out of the corner of my eye "jumping" from the balcony, I was with the girls. It was nighttime, and the kitchen was pitch black, darker than darkness itself.
