Ryzen 5500 vs 5600
First of all, I'm from Argentina.
My actual PC:
Processor > Ryzen 3 3100
Motherboard > Asrock B450M-HDV 4.0 (PCIE 3.0)
Cooler > Stealth Spectrum
RAM > Patriot Signature Line Premium 2x8 3200Hz CL22
GPU > GTX 1050
Storage > Adata 512GB SSD and Kingston 240GB SSD
Power Supply > Gigabyte 550W 80+ Silver
Case > Cougar MX110
Monitor > Flatron E1942
I wanted to upgrade it with these components:
GPU > RX 6600 or 6600XT
Monitor > Asrock CL25FF FHD 100Hz
CPU > Ryzen 5 5500 or 5600
Cooler > ID-Cooling SE-903 XT FRGB
Storage > NVMe 1TB 3.0 (because of my Mother)
I know the The 5600 is a favorite for many and the first choice for an AM4 CPU.
The thing is, I've been searching for it for several months on different websites and even Facebook (In my country its a good option for buying used) and it's either completely unavailable or very scarce (so much so that the posts disappear within hours).
That's why I'm considering the 5500, which is not only a bit cheaper but also much more readily available.
I've seen that their performance is quite similar, but why do people always end up choosing the 5500?
I know the 5600 has 32MB of VRAM and Vermeer architecture but in benchmarks, the difference is barely noticeable.
