How to help my little brother

My 13 year old brother is currently in hospital. Doctors have reviewed his MRI and spinal fluid results and are diagnosing him with MS.

I can't find reliable information about how the symptoms progress. His current symptoms are numb legs and hands, no vision in one eye, and heavily blurred vision in the other. This is the first occurrence of any symptoms.

Can we expect these to be his typical symptoms, and if so, will his vision and the use of his legs deteriorate with each attack? Thanks
