Is it safe to mix wet and dry food?

so I've been doing this for a few months, I have a dog, Daschund/Chihuahua mix, anyhow, I feed her the same brand and flavor of dry food since she graduated from puppy food. So for the last few months as a treat I'll occasionally get her a can of wet food, same brand as the dry food but just the wet meaty kind she likes. I know you're not supposed to change brands and/flavors without transitioning slowly or it could cause digestive problems, but is it ok to mix wet and dry?
