(watcher spoilers) how did i get here and how do i leave

i am currently stuck in this separate cluster of circles

i am so lost. picking up watcher again after a good bit of hiatus. ive explored so much but i genuinely cannot fathom how i managed to get myself into signal spires and the connected regions shown here without the circles connecting to any of the rest of them. i found oaoaoa (the echo) in salination (it sucks. i hate salination) and they just went "..." and left. i would like to see oaoaoa elsewhere, but i am TRAPPED in this little cluster of circles (fetid glen, salination, signal spires, shattered terrace, and verdant waterways). how did i get here and how do i leave
